https://youtube/watch?v=s_TC5YVa-9k A follow-up to last nights car break in, window being smashed and backpack getting stolen. The thief stopped in Potrero went through my belongings and dumped what they didnt want in front of someones house. Luckily for me they stopped in front of a good samaritans house. The homeowner collected all the belongings that were strewn over his yard this morning. He found a friends email address on one of my papers and Contacted her. She contacted me and I was able to get in touch with the Good Samaritan and pick up my backpack and whatever stuff was left. (Albeit it was soaking wet). He even took it with him to work at Adobe and I was able to pick it up from him this afternoon. To top it off...the Good Samaritan has a surveillance camera on his home and was able to capture footage of the car stopping and going through my stuff. He cut the video so it just shows the part where the car is stopped and he posted it to YouTube. If we could all be like this Good Samaritan we would live in a safer community. Such a contrast in human behavior in such a short amount of time. The Good Samaritan was a much needed reminder that there are good people out there. Heres the video of the car in front of the house.
