Schools near the airport, still in junta hands, remained closed. A suspicious person was seen 5 minutes before the bombing possibly placing a marker for fire correction. It was the first day of school, postponed due to fighting by one month. The opening day ceremony took place outside, then kids went to their classrooms. 20 minutes later the school was hit with 5 shells. A biology teacher, a parent and two security guards (one of whom was a militia fighter) were killed. All kids survived. Eight people were injured. Kids, parents and teachers sheltered in the basement. Nearby bus stop was hit. A bus burnt out entirely. At least 8 died and 40 injured. According to our source close to Donetsk Ministry of Defence press-service, the shelling was done with Smerch from the village of Avdeevka, 6 kilometers north of Donetsk.
