The last 2 months have seen this amazing little boy hit rock bottom and along with it, his parents. Watching your child build so much fear about the environment we all love and take for granted, the experiences we all enjoy that leave him in a meltdown. To say our hearts were breaking is an understatement. A lonely road surrounded by very few that understood and had patience for us. Yesterday was the day, the turning point, the reward for endless advocating, pushing boundaries and more advocating. The smile on Rayces face says it all. Just to list a few things that would normally prevent an outing like this and cause a meltdown are- -putting clothes on -process of getting in the car and the travel, watching everything through the car windows -bright sun -wind -strangers at the final destination -sensory issues with different textures on his hands and feet -doesnt like water on his skin and the list goes on and on, all this Rayce worked through yesterday and left our adventure with a lovely memory for our family
