A feature length documentary project by Sandrine Dryvers Because we believe in another Europe, because we Europeans need to know each other, and build other bridges, we have decided to travel around our continent. Because the European Cemetery Route is an official itinerary which is recognized by the Council of Europe, we have decided to follow up that route. The threads between the different states are a questionnaire and a camera phone, because we still have that freedom! A first trip has just been completed, getting us to discover our Dutch, German, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Estonian neighbours. This great travel starts on the riverbanks of the Meuse, whose steel industry is on its last legs, and where a few boxers keep us hoping. Because ideas have always led to money but money has never led to ideas, we want to believe that this journey will be achievable. Because we continue to have faith in our institutions, we persevere in asking for subsidies. But we think that this film mosaic can also come to birth thanks to you.
