https://youtube/watch?v=zwFS69nA-1w Today marks the 2 year anniversary of Brittany Maffesoli and I. Although weve certainly had our lows, our highs tower over them. If could go back in time and tell my past self that in two years, Id be sitting in an awesome apartment, drinking good beer, petting a cat that only bites me sometimes and watching Death Note with my best friend, my past self and I would high five until we broke our hands. Its a reality that I didnt think Id ever achieve. We always laughed at our friends who said, we made it look so easy, because it isnt. Those who saw us during our struggles earlier this summer know how hard it can be. But you fight when you love someone. And we did. We made one of the biggest decisions well ever make: Moving away from our friends and family to start a new life in North Carolina. And while I do get homesick and miss my friends, I cant imagine being anywhere else. I knew since the second we started hanging out that we had a connection that was special. She liked bands like Anti-Flag and Alkaline Trio, could quote Scrubs all day (and still does) and made fun of the fact that I threw up on my Old Navy performance fleece in the 7th grade on the bus (still does that too). We quote Ron Swanson, listen to The Wonder Years and drink whiskey and ginger ale. I am eternally in debt to her for the improvement in my life since weve been together. I am unable to imagine a scenario of my future that doesnt include her in it. I love you Brittany. We are soupsnakes.
