i Memorise: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” (1 Peter 5:8). Read: 1 Peter 5:8-10 The devil as shown in our memory verse is likened to a roaring lion who is always seeking a prey to destroy. Oh yes, that’s the main objective of Lucifer after his fall. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. ” (John 10:10). He’s a thief and the father of all lies. He wants to rob you of your kingdom rights and privileges. His mind is made up to get as many as possible from grace to disgrace. To take the saints by evil stains and make them co-inhabitants of hell with him. He’s at work 24/7 taking careless children of God’s kingdom from the narrow way to that which is wide and generally acceptable to all. The devil is busy destroying the lives of as many who have yielded themselves unto him and his agents through worldly lusts and deceitfulness of riches. May you not fall victim to these abounding deceits of hell in Jesus mighty name. “Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;” (1 Peter 2:11). There are wars and battles against your soul. You must not shun this fact but carefully consider your ways at such a time like this. Start with the right assurance that you are not of this world. You are of God and to Him you are expected to submit yourself. If care is not taken, the devil is set to take the very elect of God to hell. “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. ” (Matthew 24:22). This present time is loaded with believers who are now returning to their vomit. Every action and deed they once rejected have become their current embrace and choices. You need to be careful never to be led astray. If you are not submitted totally to the will of God you will have no other choice than to embrace the way of sinners. You must remember that the coming of the Lord is like a thief in the night. He will come unannounced and how sad and unfortunate it’s going to be if you are eventually caught unawares. Have you been deceived into sin and unrighteousness? Seek the Lord now. Is your lamp no longer trimmed and burning bright? Get back to God in prayers, in study of His word and engage yourself in spiritual activities that will chase off the devil and his hosts from your life, marriage and destiny. This is the end of times. Live carefully and rebuke the works of sin and all it appearances. You will not be destroyed in Jesus mighty name. Pray with me: Father, please guide me safely home. Don’t allow the devil and his agents to succeed over my spirit, soul and body. Give me the grace to be focused on Christ and to always look forward to His second appearance with all carefulness.
