i am free to say what i want. but number one, I am not remunerated for it financially, which makes it difficult to make a living. number two, is all these critiques are carried out on the fringes of society. so the reason true, accurate, important, and relevant information is not readily obtained by joe public, is because no one has the incentive or ability to provide it for him. therefore, if we want a true free press we must provide the journalist with an income that is not tied to their work. this is where universal income can change things. if the journalist (or any other public service proffesional) can work unhindered by the demands of advertisers etc. they can then freely seek out the truth as per their vocation. or if you are more anachistlicly inclined their income could come in other forms i.e woofing, community support, self sufficiency.
