i am making this post public because there are people outside of my freinds list that have no idea what it is like to go through having lymes desease (and have made ignorant comments)--it is a very weird thing-that the symptoms can hit within days of being bit--but the test wont come back positive until after 30 days after being bit---i had the chills so bad that 2 winter coats on couldnt stop the shivering--then the sweats were so bad that it was litteraly running off my finger tips---as if i was standing in the shower---the worst joint pain i ever experienced (felt like knives in my joints)---then muscle pains so bad -that i stopped using my left arm (for about 3 days)-because it hurt so bad--and then the rash showed up on the second week-- (the actual bit sight was never found) but i had a half dozen bullseye spots (that did not have the center)(because the center is usually the actual bite sight) that is when the dry tickle cough started (and nothing tasted right or good)---and is when i went to the DR--both the DR and I agreed that the rash probably had started to travel into my lungs--and they started me -right away--on antibiotics--I just had my follow up appointment on friday (which was 11 days after the first Dr appoinment--figuring they would extend my antibiotic--but nope--they said there is no evidence that more then 14 days has not shown to have any benifit ---but the only thing i did find out is that in 11 days -I lost 16 pounds---i know they say that this can worsen arthitis or even cause it-----i sure hope not----i still have a couple days of antibiotics left---then i guess we will start to find out what the lasting effects will be----but i sure started to feel better after taking the 3rd pill and the rash was pretty much gone after taking the 4rth pill--but even today (which is nearing the one month later point )(of first symptom) my skin still kind of feels like a very light sunburn sensation (being that over half of my upper body was covered with rash) and it is that area that has that sensation---but they figure that all symptoms should be gone after 60 days---and there is still a light itch-- but never was too bad (except for my nose)--when that rash hit--my nose itched so bad--that i could have easily ripped my nose off my face--(it was deffinately -not any fun) and was not a peice of cake to go through---so those of you out there that have symptoms----you better have then checked out---unchecked- can become life threatening and nothing to fool around with..
