i am so mad at our lack of political insight as a movement right now. currently sick to my stomach watching mainstream media try its absolute best to convince the nation that cops are good and, by extension, anti-cop protestors are bad. and so many of us are falling for it. this is part of the reason why i will NOT participate in this police apologist campaign. already we are witnessing the narrative around the NYPD shootings death being used to (1) manufacture public empathy for a fundamentally racist institution, (2) criminalize resistance and dissent, and (3) further justify police terrorism and anti-black state violence. these die-ins we doin are cool yawl; but we need more teach-ins. political education is critical. in the words of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar: Educate. Organize. Agitate.
