i am still relishing in the delightful and magical day of my and Caseys wedding. The morning of our wedding, i awoke before dawn to the great horn owls gentle hoo. she had been gone for quite awhile, years in fact, so i was so happy to welcome her home in time for this special day. Since the wedding started at high noon, and we were the caterers and designers of the wedding with all of our family members too, we all busily finished flower arrangements, set out tables and chairs, put silverware and dishes where the food tables would be, had a sip of champagne, made cheese plates, fruit and veggie plates and prepared the salads and BBQ goods all before 10:30, then off to get dressed! thanks to Leslie Anne Webb, she made me look like a real princess, and thanks to my family, Wesley Smith, Paloma Strozzi, Jack strozzi, my dad, gavin, Brandon, Margie Mazzucchi, Jolene Mazzucchi Hendren, Rachelle Mazzucchi Livingston, all the kids, John and Matt and Loretta, and my dear friends kathleen, karen, Hallie Bigliardim, Amanda Kent, and Shaunda McCreary, and Sean, and Morgan, and Mackey, and Karen Fuller, we made a great thing happen. i will never forget the unique and powerful feeling of walking out to my betrothed to see so many dear friends and a community of people i love and admire there to witness our special moment. as i took Caseys arm we began a short walk around the pond to this special willow and catail grove overlooking the pond from the north end of the ranch. Everyone followed us and a great procession of love and support emanated from every person, every branch and leaf as we collectively reverred in a special moment in time. My brother, Josh Horowitz, led a native american blessing with 3 songs as we all faced to the south, and lo and behold, a red tailed hawk, my totem animal, began to soar in a slow and steady circle over the pond. i was so amazed and felt so blessed! I thought, well that is blessing enough, i think we are truly married now. and to have her honor and support us, she stayed with us in her soaring circle throughout the ceremony, i knew my animal relations were just as happy as we were. and then Caseys cousin, John married us with bits of humor, lots of love and support and it felt so special under the grand willow tree with everyone holding space. the weather was amazing, and i am truly blessed, with an amazing husband, wonderful friends and family and together we can all make the world a happier, healthier place. thank you thank you thank you... and may the joy and love from our special day spread out upon the ethers of the red tails soaring path to her sisters and brothers and may many in turn be blessed with simple kindness and effortless love.
