i dont see panic in the eyes of my cool, collected, mellow-mushroom husband often....like, NEVER. but -today- i did when he looked at me and said go get every water hose you can think of. ya see, a neighboring house to camp had a little brush fire catch onto their fire-wood pile and get pretty serious, very fast and almost got to the point where it could have reached their house and car. Husband and the other men at camp (with the help of us lovely camp wives and numerous Nelson children) rushed to the fire and had it controlled til the Mentone Fire Dept. could get here. Thankfully, no one was hurt. It makes me feel safe and secure living close to such able and heroic men that are so willing to band together when disaster strikes.
