i dont understand how people can have beliefs that animals dont feel. This customer came in today and said he wanted to start a bunny poop fertilizer business. When i said make sure you let them out every once in a while he looked at me like ugh. He said have you ever talked to a bunny, implying that they arent aware enough to deserve such treatment. to state that animals dont have thoughts is a gamble. If theres any chance that what weve always been taught is wrong the living conditions of the majority of other species is scary. chickens being force fed. i dont know how ill be able to look for paths to enlightenment when every path I see leads to the pain of another being. For a while I thought the divine wouldnt let spirits be there. It has to somehow be able to protect every entity. that got me through the days thinking that those bodies were soulless. but then i thought putting blind faith in that notion is a gamble. what if there are spirits there. what if they are conscious enough to feel the nothingness of living out their existence in a 3 ft by 4 ft cage. By saying they dont have a spirit is a gamble. You look at people on the news who go around murdering people and you find horror in that type of person. Just seeing videos like elephant painting pictures of themselves holding flowers and chimps learning sign language makes me fear even more for those spirits growing up in hostile environments. blah, wish i was a ninja.
