i got this cd from the library yesterday, and was really hoping that it was going to be GREAT, but completely disagree with this reviewer. It is the most DISAPPOINTING album i have heard in a long time. and i am a HUGE fan of betts hell, i even had an old vw squareback named blue skies. i wish it would have had some of the material from highway call, and also Bougainvillea... both sets sound rushed, and forced. they dont breathe. Eric Heuschele, Thomas Ward, Jim Harvey, Marvie Votaw any of you other fans out there heard this? am i off base on my thinking? i know what playing at festivals is like, usually no or little soundcheck, and limited time etc. so maybe that is the problem that they were trying to get as many songs in their allotted time space. so have any of you heard this? i think the main problem other than the songs being so sped is that there just doesnt seem to be any dynamics. okay so here is the good review thegreatsouthernbrainfart/?p=2996
