i had the privilege of dropping 2 youngsters (siblings) off at home yesterday after a church event, and as we walk towards the car, we did the usual small talk. We approach the car and the young man heads towards the drivers side. I was putting my bags in the back seat but i noticed he wasnt rushing to sit in the back nor was he waiting to hop in the back. This young man (14 or 15 yrs old) was actually waiting for me to put my bags away to open the door for me, waited for me to sit and then closed it and then sat beside me. Then, as im ready to leave after dropping them off, he makes me roll down the window to tell me, make certain you text my father to let him know to let me know youve arrived safely at home. As i drove home, i thought of 2 things: what a wonderful job Ron and Luz Rivera are doing in raising up a man w/standards and chivalry and i also thought, how can i get JR to marry Shannon w/out any of us going to jail? yes, there are STILL men out there who have manners.
