i hate to make this public as it might sounds silly to certain people: i dont own a skyline for now(im a student). however, im concerned about RB26DETTs efficiency. its very fuel consuming. my goal in tuning is machinery & fuel efficiency as well as durability, low emission & safety. is it possible to create a RB20DETT (exactly the same as RB26DETT Z2 except for change in displacement) with variable valve & cam timing as well as VVL? its a very bold move but im not afraid of compromising its performance, given the fact the base model is the Z2 engine, the addition of variable cam & valve timing(fuel efficient, performance gain, low emission), VVL as well as tuning in MINES ECU & increased in throttle responsiveness will be enough for a daily drive, i believe. reasons why rb25det neo aint a choice. rb26dett z2 tend to have more advance tech, lighter parts & more durable. example: n1 is advance in manufacturing technology such as sealing and material processes. plus, rb26 has 6 ITBs, which is more throttle responsive. sorry for long paragraphs.
