i just read a post where someone was very overwhelmed trying to get everything perfect in time for Christmas... and i KNOW theres a lot of that going around right now... THIS is what i have to say about that... oh, please stop for just a moment and BREATHE... everything is already perfect because God has given us the greatest gift ever imaginable or conceived in His Son over 2,000 years ago... we can never add to or take away anything from that to make Christmas any more or less glorious... all the extra that we worry ourselves over at the holidays is self-pressured... take a step back and intentionally stop everything for at least a moment and ask God to help you seek HIS perspective on this Christmas... I think you will find that you are pushing yourself far harder than He would ever ask you to... He desires the presents and the joy were after to be found mainly (solely, I would dare say) in His PRESENCE and His JOY and love.... I encourage everyone who sees this post to remember that... and to remind everyone in your social circle... Christmas is not about what we do or what we bring to the table... its all about the amazing provision God made for us in presenting His holy Son as a human child in a manger as part of His master plan to bring us to Him... and we cannot add to that no matter how much we stress or strain... we all need to just step back and breathe and enjoy the PRESENCE OF GOD in this season...
