i wrote this for a Mothers day card many years ago and read it at her funeral. I updated it a bit but here goes...ahem I likes me mum she knits me socks sometimes when i visits she trims me locks she cooks yummy fishcakes and loves her piano no one mistakes her for Alyssa Milano she paints lovely pictures of mountains and trees and tells funny stories of birdies and bees she looks after me dad and thats no piece of cake when its time to wake up she gives me a shake I loves me mum for these reasons and others thats why i think shes number one among mothers
