in the Lampasas Radiogram today: Central Texas area students pursuing four year and two year degrees in human health services and health care certifications are encouraged to apply for scholarships through Metroplex Hospital Volunteer Services. Applications are being accepted until February 28. Five scholarships are available ranging from $1,000 to $1,500. Eligibility requirements, such as academic achievement, community involvement and career focus, are specific to each fund and listed on the application. The scholarship committee will review submitted applications through March then select applicants to interview. Scholarships will be awarded at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon in May. Applications are available at the information desk in the Metroplex Hospital lobby, or from mplex.org.
