....in the background of Choices Matter... and have consequences, the President of the Republic of Kenya Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta is in the U.S on the invitation of President Obama. Not because he is particularly a darling of the increasingly suspect America but because Kenya is a strategic playground for US Great Lakes and The Horn of Africa regions. I have read from different wisdom that the President will not be speaking, or rather wont address the forum despite being the head of Igad and the de facto big boy of East Africa. It does not worry me. We elect Presidents not show off rhetorics but to strike life transforming deals. If Kenyatta manages to bring General Electric to Nairobi he will have done his job. I know hundreds of American enterprises that want to set shop in Kenya against the odds. Bringing them to us is his job. •***********• And I am told the only persons that can steal land in Kenya can be anyone else but not a member of CORD. It is fine with me. It tells me however, that the CORD minister we had at the helm was in his element. Sound asleep. Reminds me Anyang Nyongo did not steal from NHIF, Kajwang did not hawk Kenyan passports in Esleigh and Raila did not Eat Pesa ya Vijana. •**************• And I am not particularly keen on having Moses Kuria as MP for Gatundu South but I am keen on what he will reveal on the floor of the house about some high priests of ideals in Kenya. Kuria has played the role of he who says in loud what others say in whispers. I wish him godspeed in his new roles as a legislator. I hope Raila send Robert Alai to the house too. •**************• And since Uhuru signs my pay cheque. On the 6th day of August I am yet to be paid.
