in the year 2000 when i came home from school and the car was parked out the back I walked through the laundry and turned to go to the loungeroom to greet my mom after a long day. As I walked into the loungeroom sitting there in the middle of the room next to my mom and aunty was a little puppy. This little puppy was a gift from my aunty who received a puppy like we did and so did my grandparents, all three of these puppys were sisters. This puppy sitting in the loungeroom that we had been surprised by, her name was manchester united, yes it is a funny thing to name your dog after a football team but it was her name and it suited her. She was unlike any other dog. She had the personality of a diva, she wouldnt fetch the ball no matter what you said, she would chew a lot of our stuff, she could open doors, she was picky with her foods, she could overcome any barrier we set to stop her, she would literally pull out the cords to the gaming console so we would pay attention to her. She would greet us whenever we got home, she would run around with us outside for hours, she would allow us to lay our heads on her as we slept and she would do the same, she was very protective of the house, she would comfort us in our time of sadness, most of all she was the most loving and caring dog Ive ever had the pleasure of knowing. She was my bestest friend whom I thought would be with me forever but today her legs gave out and she could no longer walk. 14 and a half years she was by my side but tomorrow im afraid to say she will instead be in a better place along with her two sisters. The tears havent really stopped and I know the hurt im feeling will leave a permanent scar on my heart but the memories I have with Manchester will always be apart of the reason I smile. I am going to miss you every single day and love you always and forever. Goodbye Manchester United. your loving brother Tom
