She is driven by the pictorial documentation of significant moments in modern history and cultures on the verge of extinction. Although she appreciates the skill and imagery of artistic photography, she feels it’s largely self-serving and self-absorbed: the images are about the photographer rather than the event. Photojournalism is the polar opposite as the subject is everything. Inspired by everything around her – colours, patterns, light, films, characters, lines – Vianna has been developing her photojournalistic passion for the past six years and studied at CATC for the past 1.5 years.
