interviewed with the Sierra Club this evening for their endorsement of my candidacy. On the bike ride home I thought about what I ought to have said: D. Luce being elected a park board commissioner will only be significant if his election is a piece of a change in consciousness and action akin to the change that was the Civil Rights Movement; an Earth Rights Movement. Only a revolution will save the planet for human habitation and no revolution has been led by established boards, agencies or institutions; they can only assist or get out of the way. The campaign ought to consider issues and solicit involvement; a win would signify substantial interest in action to address those issues with meaningful change.
