is glad to announce that the serial on maulana azad seher hone tak, for he was extensively involved in the research, screenplay and editing, as also even playing a role, is being aired from today onwards on DD-urdu... it will be telecast on five days of the week (monday to friday) at 7 pm and again at 10 pm and a repeat next morning at 11:30 am (the friday evening eposodes will be repeated at 11:30 a.m. on saturday too)... :-) the serial was made under severe budgetary and time constraints, and being a docu-drama on a largely non-violent freedom fighter, would not have the action element that movies on the likes of sardar bhagat singh and masterda surya sen have... the story starts picking up after the few episodes... also, being in urdu, there may be a few words and phrases you may not be able to catch, but its, on the whole, comprehensible to any hindi-speaker...a few words and phrases commonly used are- tehreek-e-azadi=freedom struggle tehreek=movement taleem=education jamhooriat=democracy sahafat=journalism aqliyat=minority intekhab=election fistai=fascist firkaparasti/firkavariat=communalism ravadari=tolerance Saira Syed, Zainab Imtiyaz, Khalid Baig, Faheem Amin, Raju Moza, Parijat Chakraborty, Mohammad Irfan Sohail, Prashant Balaji, Namrata Wakhloo, Safwan Patel, Ayesha Khan Raval, Aasifa Sheikh, Adil Hossain, Shubhang Sreenivas, Bhaskar J.
