is looking back on day 1 experience: So he day started well. Nice breakfast at the hotel - got to experience some of the local cuisine. Not crazy about it but it was OK. we did what the well seasoned travellers do - get a map of Buenos aires from reception, find out where we are, tick the places we wanted to visit and there we were on our way to check out the city. We walked to the Recoleta cemetery. Got to see Evitas final resting place. I am always blown away by how expensive that cemeteries feels and look. I guess when you have the money you can get exactly what you want. After checking out a few we headed to the Recoleta mall for some StarBucks. My holiday officially starts after having one drink from my favourite coffee shop. I opted for a smoothie this time. After taking a break we decided to go shopping. We found the most beautiful jeans ever!! Unique. Fresh. New!!!! We founds ourselves wandering around the town. We got to see an Argentinian tango show along the way. Wow!!!! Must say no one does it like the Argentinian. The next stop was the Obelisco o the 9th of July Avenue (Av 9 De Julio). Beautiful. Got to see a beautiful Israelite template. Tomorrow it will be the stadium where Maradona was discovered as well as the other tourists attractions. Am i finding the country any different to when i was last here in 1997? Nope!!! Same old same. Lots of dogs. Dog poop on the streets. obviously the city is bigger than Johannesburg. Will i come back after this? The jury is still out. I guess i have the next 3 days to decide. Have to dash now. Have to try book for a formal tango show tonight.
