it was a defining moment for me in understanding the conflict in the holy land when a young 21 year old palistinian, jordanian citizen, man, said to me in jordan some years ago ... he was born in jordan and as he pointed to the land we could see across the dead sea he said that is my homeland and one day, maybe not even in my lifetime we will get it back ... i understood than that if the two sides dont manage to find a way to make peace with one another that neither nor any of their descendants will ever be able to live comfortably on that land ...
