its my 2nd day in Manchester. 2.40 am here. still being awake, still having trouble adjusting to the UK time. met up with my future colleagues yesterday and found them quite friendly and humourous. but most of my lab mates are still going on a retreat in the north Yorkshire and wont come back until next Monday. excited to finally meet up with my supervisor Matt in person and get to talk about our research projects. compared to the time i just moved from Taiwan to Australia four years ago, i feel much more relaxed this time and feel having a better command of how i should manage things. its a trial-and-error process of learning i guess. you bump, you bruise, and you may get scars, which symbolises healing and growth, and then you see your strength.
