All welcome and its free of charge.For tickets please email greeneconomicsinstitute@yahoo The event is participatory and speakers include Jean Lambert Green MEP, Member of the European Parliament Ziggy a Holocaust Survivor -talks about his life and how we must not hate Bianca Madison- Vuleta a Campaigner for social and environmental justice Miriam Kennet talks about the proposed trade treaty, TTP, between the EU and the USA and the likely damage it will do to social and environmental standards Pamela Harling Campaigner from London talks about Green campaigns for food and energy Participants will debate how to create a feeling of belonging in the European Union for citizens and what social and environmental advantages the European Union provides. The Green Economics Institute is organising a one-day conference in London on Friday 31st January to discuss the challenges of a common European future. This conference aims to tackle the need for Europe to start the long process of creating a feeling of citizenship and belonging without upsetting peoples’ real need for their own distinctive identity. It also focuses on the contribution green ideas are making to the Europe of the future. What has happened to Democracy in the seat of its origin?
