just a quick post 48 years ago my Father Dr. Frank P. Laurenzana passed on Dec 31, 1966.. at age 67 ... I was 17 he died in his bed, in his home surrounded by those he loved. For the last 48 years, I pretty much always wake up at 4am and say a little prayer, and thank him for all he gave me and taught me in the 17 years he was my Father, my Mentor, my Role model, and in my opinion, a minor God in my world. so brilliant, so kind and gentle. an excellent physician and general practitioner, lived his work, and still loved his family and made time for me. sitting with him at the diningroom table as a young man was like sitting with Aristotle.. so wise, so effective with his words, of wisdom, and gentle presentation of ideas, I learned so much from him. he was 49 when I was born, so he was in his sixties when I was a teenager, I always thought it was really neat to have such a refined gentleman as a Father. anyway as I approach the same age as he when our Lord took him home.. I find myself being more like him,, every day.. in his mannerisms, his way of looking at the world, and his perceptions and understanding of the world around him. I wish all of you a Happy New Years,, and Dad, thank you again for everything that got me thru my life to this point. miss you like it was yesterday I lost you.. but always with me in my heart and mind
