just because he did this earlier does not justify being shot 11 times when he was giving up. This is the ferguson police departments attempt to muddy the water. It has been coming to light that this police department has been practicing that driving while black thing. Back in my day, it was called something much uglier (if that is possible), being randomly pulled over by the cops doing profiling was called Being a n***** on a sunny day. When he was approached by the cop for questioning about this cigar incident (and I dont buy this whole he was stopped for jay-walking claim. He was the one they were looking for so no jaywalking charge was necessary to stop him), he complied and raised his hands and gave himself up so there was absolutely NO OBVIOUS reason to shoot this suspect. Yes, he was a suspect, here he is, on tape committing aggravated robbery. That being said, we ALL have our constitutional right to due process and the last time I checked, being an ignorant thug is not a capitol offense. This whole tragedy should be used to fix a couple of things. First, we need to decrease the militarization of our police forces AND.....I think that it should be a federal law that all law enforcement vehicles be equipped with 360 degree cameras and that every officer be made to wear a forward and rear looking camera and a sound recording device that is to remain on the entire time they are on duty. If the military wants to give them surplus equipment, they should give them that kind of equipment. They already use them in military operations and a well proven technology.
