It is also where the famous oyster banks start- the source of natural coastal oysters and the breeding area of the endangered black oystercatcher. The ship is so close to the beach, you can walk up to it at low tide. There is a road through the nature reserve that ends right there,you can literally drive some trucks close, pull some tanks onto the beach and pump the fuel off.
