just read in todays paper (in the Boomer section - ya know yer gettin old when ya look forward to reading the interesting things in there lol) about the supposed double disaster of an earthquake & tidal wave that was predicted to hit Adelaide in January 1976. I remember I scoffed at the stupidity of the masses panicking, with some even sellling up their homes to get out of the apparent imminent danger, all from some cranks prediction with no scientific basis at all so I went & sat myself on a bench at Semaphore beach near the jetty & waited for it.. bring it on!! lol Who else remembers this? :D
