just something to think about... The little things add up to BIG! I would hope you would share with your daughter the importance of the small things and hold her accountable to such things. These things will make her a better teammate and will make a great impression on her coaches as well as the people recruiting her. 1. Sprint out to your position on the field 2. Sprint to the dugout after the inning 3. Run every ball out full speed through the bag event if it is a come backer to the pitcher 4. Run out every routine pop fly not stopping until she gets to second base even if they catch the ball 5. Get a good secondary lead on every pitch and react immediately to the ball in the dirt. 6. Always slide, even in no throw, safest way to arrive and can never go wrong 7. Anticipate backing a throw up before the throw is made instead of reacting to a bad throw 8. Never celebrate too much and never show disappointment- stay as level headed at possible at all times. 9. Never have anyone question your effort, give your best effort on every pitch leaving no question in anyones mind that you were prepare for the ball hit to you, etc. 10. Never quit or give up, always show confidence while being humble and be willing to outwork your competition
