Decided against Pikes Peak because of the altitude, but WHEW! we got the LAST parking spot at the bottom of the hill, 1/4 mile up hill to the visitor center, then 224 steps up the falls (going up 181 feet) and a half mile hike at the top. 224 down (scary) and we cheated with the 14 story elevator up for the second viewing area, but walked the 185 down, and 1/4 mile back to the car. Altitude was killer for us sea level people over 6k, but we did it! Tired, but happy.
