What characterizes African politics has not yet transcended what Machiavelli Niccolo, an Italian philosopher and historian once thought. He looked at Italy at that time, had been divided into five autonomous independent states, this disunity made Italy weak and vulnerable in the hands of her enemies-the Germans, Persians, Sparniads. Niccolo therefore, thought that such disunity was as a result of poor leadership, greed for power, lack of virtues like honesty, transparency and unstrategious governments. This disunity of states like Naples, Milan, Papal state, Florence is what Machiavelli called CORRUPTION. Looking at Kenya today, tribalism, insecurity, famine are afew witnesses of what Machiavelli would have called corruption. DO YOU THINK THESE ILLS ARE AS A Result of Poor leadership? What do you think will be the way forward in attempt to make Kenya a good society, independent economically and politically? In the past years, the Europeans convensionally thought that The Africans are incapable of conceptualizing constructive ideas like Justice, Equality, Democracy as well as Religion. Consequently, they asserted that they needed to be directed in everything. Do you think the current political and economic situations in some parts of Africa confirms this Westerners Conventional Conception of Africa?
