late january I took a plane ride to Denver, drove to Kalvesta ,Kansas and back to Denver my first day out there. Kalvesta is about 357 miles east and a little south of Denver. The next day I took in the national western livestock show. I watched some of the stock dog preview and sale, then I took in some of the junior steer show and dog agility trials. The last thing I watched was the selection of the grand champion steer, Mr. Bob Mays daughter had the reserve grand champion steer. I believe she was the only exhibitor from Wisconsin out of about 144 steers in the show, the grand champion steer was shown by a kid from Oklahoma, that steer sold for $132,500. I stayed in the Denver area for another day and a half, then I drove west on I-70 to Grand Junction,CO. After that I went to Moab, Utah, on to Salt Lake City, Utah, then back to Denver. Utah is beautiful and Salt Lake City is a pretty neat town,
