(lee) FT: Hull FC 16-22 Huddersfield A tough match for both sides but the Giants had that little bit more creativity and luck to get the win. 4 loses on the trot now which is a major cause for concern. FC had plenty of attack but couldnt get over the line when it counted. Miller was unlucky with the drop goal attempt which, if it had gone over, could have won us the game but instead its the Giants who walk away with the 2 SL points. A touch of luck for the Giants when Brough went over for the winning try of the match but FC didnt do themselves any favours with silly mistakes and a lack of creativity costing us dearly. Not all bad as it was an improved performance from the boys so we will have something to work from for next weekend but just not enough on the day. Whiting, Heremaia, Miller, Ellis and Houghton all with good games and to take a top 2 side to the last few minutes was a great effort by the boys. Another narrow loss which puts us 4 points behind rovers who claimed their 5th win on the trot over Salford. So where do we go from here? For me we need to toughen up with the goal line defence and be more creative with our attacking options close to the opposition line. Some may say its simply not good enough but we must be realistic and above all be constructive. we desperately need tio find that clinical edge and focus for the full 80 minutes. we are close but not close enough and today showed it again. Overall a good effort from the lads but at the end of the day it is another loss we could ill afford. Still FC til i die and looking forward to next weekend away at Catalans in the Challenge Cup which i am sure the staff and the team will look to as a vital game and a stepping stone to re-ignite our season. A win is a must not only for us fans but for the team as a whole.
