.. let me take the time to thank ALL that have responded, reposted and verbalized commitment to assist the social request posted last night via friend/family or the common word of mouth for the Jack Yates Marching Motion Band under the current direction of Sam Djatempo Long. The response is/was remarkable. I was personally impressed to see my friend-not an alum of Jack Yates, also extend her support to OUR children. She also reposted my post and encouraged others to not only SUPPORT the FINE ARTS program at Jack Yates, but other schools as needed. We can choose to give, or not give or sit idle as we watch others give-the choice is yours. We can fuel alot of things but fueling the mind of OUR children is without question PRICELESS. As mentioned, the band director is currently working to secure a PayPal account for incoming donations.
