lets open up a bit of a Thursday debate then.. a good chap Neal Morgan and I have been bantering about the validity of facebook as a marketing tool for professional wedding services. I use it to good effect to promote wedding fayres, but generally refuse to jump in on Im looking for a DJ posts on the hundreds of wedding forums. so heres the question. Apart from those in the budget market, where you are able to undercut or slash costs for a late gig.. 1 - Has anyone I know successfully taken bookings (note - plural) just by jumping in on the threads from brides looking for what you offer.. 2 - Has anyone EVER taken a booking by offering a service different to the one being sought.. as in the ever present I want a cake - Im a chocolate fountain operator 3 - Has anyone actually taken bookings just by posting constantly on the numerous groups.. And finally a question to my lovely ex and future brides (love you) ( :-) ) have you ever booked a wedding service just because you kept seeing the same advert on the wedding groups you look at?.. My position is.. It works for my wedding fayres, it does bring brides out, but it costs me about £10 a bride to get them through the door, but I dont think facebook works as a marketing tool for the quality market - am I wrong?
