life moves fast. Many of us never are able to find contentment in anything from our daily routines, to the career we choose. We as human being are constantly trying to be better, and that is amazing. setting goals is a great thing, but finding peace is also good for your soul. Ive learned that, me personally, i look beyond the little details and focus only on what needs to be done instead of how blessed i am in a moment, but that all changed for me a month or so ago. i saw things differently. I still have many many dreams, goal, and aspirations, but i tend to avoid the bullshit and just be peaceful and SMILE MORE. just a quick story: I was in starbucks, the woman in front of me was rushing, she was on the phone while ordering her coffee and telling whoever she was on the phone with all the tasks she had ahead of her. Busy successful woman. I was next in line. I ordered my coffee while still just observing my srrounding and appreciating the fact i was even able to being enjoy a brewed hot coffe for myself, and just CONTENT with my day. The womans name was called, she got her coffee, took a sip, and immediately lost her cool. Upset that it was not correct and they seem to always mess up her drink and she was in a hurry. They apologized immensly and said please let us fix it for you and your next coffee is on us she stormed to the corner tha i had retreated to where i was waiting for my name to be called, and in the works of just being flustered and looking around make sure people noticed she was upset, she caught glanes with me. I knew in that moment i had to at least try to show her that maybe she could see the peace in my eyes and just take a breather. I smiled, showed teeth and all, and the woman smiled back.... almost confused why she smiled. but she she did. My smile was infectious. The man brought her her new coffee and mark my words she said Thank you, and I apologize for losing my cool.... she looked at me and said have a good day..... all because i showed her that i was not judging her, i knew she was upset, and maybe she just need a calming present in here everyday hectic life where things seem to go wrong. I swear to you, i smile at every strange i see, and when i smile i think to myself a reason to smile to the person im smiling at knows there is a genuine spirit behind it. find some peace, smile, and spread it. That is all.
