What was not so funny was the real agitation and fear on her face when they started up a machine which sounded like something out of a horror film - a sort of grinding squelching noise. I cast aside my pathetic Scooby Doo impersonation when I realised how worried she was. This thing has a very dark side and I know it will slowly and steadily get closer.
