#lifematters I understand anger, I even understand rage. I do not understand irrational hate. The ones who say f**k the police forget they are our brothers, our sisters. Even those who abuse their authority. They choose to actively put their lives on the line for us. Every. Single. Day For that alone they deserve our respect. When they do wrong, they deserve correction, not derision. Those who say protestors are animals or lazy forget they are angry and frustrated. That they are trying to effect change in what they see as a system that is not designed to protect or serve them. When we hold the life of one person as worthless (much less an entire group, we condemn ourselves to a downward spiral of hate, violence, fear, and retribution. We need to stop. We can stop.
