#likeagirl is not something to be ashamed of. We need to instill confidence in women everywhere and not subtly break it down on the fields, in the classrooms, on the courts and in the hallways of schools with the like a girl comment. Women and girls need to see that they are more than their perfectly filtered photos on facebook and instagram; more than what their boyfriend thinks of them; more than what the magazines and movies tell them they should be...because really we are SO MUCH MORE than a pretty face or a damsel in distress waiting to be rescued. We are powerful and worthy and amazing just #likeagirl should be. This message is for the courageous men and women everywhere who work to build each other up instead of tearing each other down.
