#linux: Where Do I Start? Greetings, my friend. I am bluebird Linux will be talked about a lot . Its used in most tutorials on this site, actually. You should learn how to use Linux as soon as possible, but where do you start? No worries. Lets figure that out. Linux is an open-source operating system, meaning anyone can edit the Linux operating system and distribute it to anyone, unlike Windows and Mac. There are hundreds of thousands of Linux distributions on the Internet. But once again, where should you start? Ive tried many distributions in the past two years, but Ive had most success with Debian and Kali Linux. Debian is used on many of the worlds servers and is praised as one of the worlds most stable Linux operating systems. Its made mostly for people who want to ease into Linux. Ubuntu is based off of Debian, so you could also start with Ubuntu. Now, lets talk about Kali Linux. Kali is my personal favorite because its based off of Debian and it has all of the tools you need for any hacking or forensics job
