llegal SIMs partner of terrorists Islamabad: The slaughterers of innocent children of Army Public School, Peshawar had planned couple of weeks to attack in Pakistan and especially target the Army. Gunmen martyred 141, 132 of them children, as the Taliban storms school in one of bloodiest ever attacks in the history of Pakistan. The deadly attack triggered shock and outrage across the world. It was 9/11 in Pakistan. This tragic news grieved and shocked not only the people Pakistan but also worldwide. The people said they were “heartbroken” by the latest tragedy. This incident does not happen if celco stop illegal SIMs and blocked the illegal and unregistered SIMs immediately to help eliminate terrorism activities in the country. According to Federal Interior Minster Ch Nisar Ali Khan called upon the mobile phone companies to desist from issuing illegal SIMs and warned of registration of a terror case against the company if its SIM was used to launch a terrorist attack. He also asked the owners of hotels to verify credentials of the guests before checking them in for stay. Nisar also said that mobile phone SIMs play a very big role in terrorist attacks that are carried out. “In the Peshawar attack, five SIMs were issued by a private company that helped to facilitate the attack. “We will see what action can be taken and whether an FIR can be lodged against the company,” he said. It is an important forth going regarding Peshawar incident; Intelligence agencies got details of the SIM reportedly used by terrorists. According to details SIM was registered on a woman’s name, who was resident of Gharibabad area of Hasilpur, a city in the district of Bahwalpur. While taking immediate action, intelligence agencies arrested her along three more suspects. All suspects are shifted to unknown place for further investigation. They have also taken franchise’s staff into custody. As per news published in Dawn, law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) freed a woman Shazia Parveen, a mobile franchise dealer Rizwan Arshad of Hasilpur who were arrested for their alleged role in the Peshawar school killings. Shazia Parveen, a resident of Khairpur Deh village near Qaimpur in Hasilpur had been taken custody four days back. The sources revealed the SIMs used in monstrous attack belonged to the two foreign cellular operators. Six illegal SIMs used of the Telenor Company. When contacted Director PR, Telenor, Atifa Asghar, she said we have reconfirmed at our end both internally and from external relevant sources as well. None of the SIMs used in the hideous Peshawar incident belonged to Telenor. Attributing them to Telenor will be false and incorrect information. This information can be very easily verified by the relevant authorities who are willing to give a clarification in this regard. Director PR PTA Khurram Mehran has said we have not received any information regarding the illegal SIMs used in Peshawar school incident from Interior Ministry when we will receive the information, PTA will share with the media.
