lol, I feel like I am about to make Jerry MacGuire statement, but let´s see how this goes. I am in no way a veteran in this industry.....got interested in the biz through a mutual friend....did a little math, did a little engineering, a lot of investigation and found that based on sound business practices, this industry and technology works. It is needed in the world and can turn a buck and employ a lot of folks. On the other hand......I have worked on this for many months and other than Practical aquaponics, Randy Jones and R. Charlie Schultz I haven´t found a lot of support in the industry (Sorry Peter, you have visited with my engineer a lot....thanks!). I look at businesses with a real common sense approach....they are either viable or not. In my opinion, this business is really viable! I am not a biologist, a chemist, an aquaponics specialist, a Rhodes Scholar, a Harvard grad, i did not event the wheel nor can I make it rounder! All of that being said I fell in love with aquaponics and saw it as an opportunity to make a real difference in the world! I don´t really care at the end of the day what happens with the industry....there is always another great business opportunity around the corner. But what do we do as a very small community to make this work? Is it worth the effort? Lol.....my old employees from my finance and insurance brokerage called me the other day and asked if I would restart the business because we were the best family we ever had......of course I said yes! Can this industry become that sort of family ...... wait a minute.... that turns a realistic profit? I don´t know the answers to all of my questions but would love to hear other people´s input in a constructive and logical manner. This seems like a no brainer to me, but what the heck do I know?
