mainstream narrative wants you to focus on the destructive acts of oppressed people instead of the overt and deliberate violence of the government in the form of police, prisons, drones, war, geopolitical colonization. the violence of oppressed people doesn’t come from a place of institutional power but it is punished by such power; it hardly qualifies as ‘violence’. (more of a casualty of systemic violence) when compared to the imperial war machine which has created the framework of violence and encased it in legality, therefore demonizing any responsive acts of defense that fall outside of the states framework of violence.
