The breath of Jesus here seems like a metaphor. It could be the voice of the beloved or maybe the beloved is compared to Jesus because she can restore life to her lover with a word from her lips. However, the lover is in such a bad state that the mere movement of the lips of the beloved is enough to kill him. His condition was so bad that the magic words which came after the movement of the lips were not strong enough to revive the beloved from his death-sleep. The weakness of the lover is stronger than the life- restoring abilities of the beloved. What a flight of imagination!
