TLN Telelatino Network is growing and we are looking for a Accountant – Financial Analyst to join our team! As Canada’s Latino TV Superstation, TLN broadcasts in three languages, English, Italian and Spanish, delivering a variety of Canadian and international TV programming from around the globe. TLN has been Canada’s #1 television destination for Italian and Spanish speaking communities since 1984 and can be seen in 6.2 million Canadian homes from coast to coast. We are taking this destination to the world of digital media, providing a more intuitive and interactive TLN. You will: • Prepare bank deposits, AR posting and reconciliations, and filing of customer documentation. • Prepare and reconcile weekly sales reports. • Assist in the preparation of Canadian Media Fund applications and subsequent reporting requirements. • Assist in the annual financial audit. • Assist in annual payroll and government compliance reporting. • Examine accounting records and prepare account reconciliations. • Perform related clerical duties, such as filing and maintaining record systems. • Other duties as required. Preferred Qualifications: • Accounting degree from accredited college or financial education facility with an interest in gaining experience in accounting. • Experience with payroll processing and administration • Excellent knowledge of MS office especially Excel. • Experience with Canadian Media Fund application process an asset • Organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. • Excellent interpersonal skills and articulate • Ability to speak Italian or Spanish an asset • Self motivated problem solver Compensation Package: This is a flexible position; estimated 30-40 hours per week. Salary is commensurate with experience.
