"...minorities make up for 41 percent of all antenna households. - TopicsExpress

"...minorities make up for 41 percent of all antenna households. Especially mind-boggling: The majority of Latino households that primarily speak Spanish now use an antenna to get their TV programming, with only 49 percent of those households subscribing to a pay TV service. Also notable: 28 percent of all households with a head of household under the age of 35 use an antenna instead of a pay TV subscription." ==== A couple of years ago, I did a series of posts on why the stated reason to beg the FCC to make Comcast give channels to Blacks was dumb. #1, the trends just were not there and #2, the complaint for years was that the cost of cable was just too high for those who fall in the low income category,. So why create more channels on cable? And #3, there was a growing trend of people looking to services like Roku, AppleTV, etc. That whole beg-a-thon to the FCC a couple years ago was nothing more than a hook up for a few. As I predicted, none of those channels were going to produce original programing in the first place. Now we just have multiple choices to view Sanford and Son, Good Time, and other reruns from 30 + years ago.
