most days l seem to be on along journey about life...and love....early this morning after walking in the warm rain...on purpose....l had the chance to feed breakfast to an 86 year old fabulous story teller true stories about her life...above her bed is an old sweet picture of herself at about 9 years old..when we visit l can peel back the years and were two little girls giggling again........when l left l went to the military museum to see pictures of the Spanish American war.....the docent said it wasnt such an important war only 300 Americans were killed...l left knowing full well it was the most important war to 300 families....hope when l paint it l can show the grave importance in the young faces......l got home ....dad and l went on a long try cycle ride across Elm street...the sun was on our backs..and determination in our legs....we went up hills ...l breathed like a ...well a 70 year old woman....he did much better...you could here me exhaling a country mile....we put our blanket on the ground beside some running water..l looked up at him the sun bright behind him..a big smile on his dear face l saw the young boy he use to be....how precious life is how fast it goes on this long but speedy journey.....the lives laid down in war ..the lives lived long but in winter of their years and the the lives two sweetheart s share.......we raced ...yes raced across Elm street...a car honked at me as l was lagging behind..... Dad looked back to make sure l was safe........yes lm safe...l feel safe on this long journey together
